Authentic Greek Salad
Make it stand out
Fresh, simple, and authentically Greek — elevated with Simply Greek Foods Salad Spice.
Ingredients
4 medium ripe tomatoes, cut into wedges
1 large cucumber, peeled and sliced into half-moons
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
½ cup Kalamata olives
6 oz (170g) block of feta cheese (preferably in brine)
2–3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp red wine vinegar (optional, for extra tang)
Instructions
Prep the Vegetables
Place the tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion in a large serving bowl.
Add the Olives & Feta
Scatter the Kalamata olives over the vegetables.
Place the block of feta cheese on top, or crumble the feta.
Season & Dress
Mix the olive oil and Simply Greek™ Greek Salad Spice for at least 15-20 min. Then apply it to the salad.
Add red wine vinegar or half of a squeezed lemon for an extra tang.
Serve
Toss gently at the table just before eating, or let guests mix as they serve themselves.
Pair with warm pita bread or as a side to grilled meats.
